2019: Mrs Ahmed celebrates thanksgiving with widows, indigents
Mrs Omolewa Ahmed, wife of the Kwara State Governor, on Monday in Ilorin, celebrates the new year with Christian widows and indigents, from various churches in the state.
In her thanksgiving sermon, Ahmed, who is also a Deaconess urged Christian women to judiciously carry out their responsibilities in their homes, community and any where they find themselves.
She noted that carrying out their responsibilities would enable them achieve desired success in their lives.
The Governor’s wife “appreciated God for all the wonderful opportunities rendered her to serve the people of Kwara State alongside her husband for eight years”.
Mrs Ahmed also reminded the congregation that the program would be the final end of the year party to be organized by her at Government House.
She prayed that God will take control of the affairs of the state and for peace and stability to reign accross the country.
Also in her sermon, the Kwara Chairman of the Women Wing Christian Association of Nigeria (WOWICAN) ), Mrs Bosede Adimabua, prayed for the safety of Nigerians during the 2019 general elections.
She warned against evil deeds, while emphasising that nothing goes without repercussion.
Pastor Busola Olotu, of Daughters of Deborah International Ministry also called on women to always celebrate and serve God with all faithfulness as his faithfulness to human has been steadfast without failure.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ahmed also donated foods items and clothings to over 500 widows.
