BOI, CAC, TO PARTNER WITH KWARA STATE MINISTRY OF ENTERPRISE.
The Kwara state commissioner for Enterprise Alhaji Abdulwahab Femi Agbaje received the state manager, Bank of Industry Mr. Olusegun Adekogbe and state manager for Cooperate Affairs Commission Mrs. Temilade Oladipo in the ministry on Monday 13th January 2020.
State Manager, Bank of industry (BOI) Mr. Olusegun Adekogbe and State Manager, Cooperate Affairs Commission (CAC) Mrs. Temilade Oladipo said their visit was done in a bid to familiarize the both organizations with the ministry and further seek collaboration with the state in transforming the face of the state’s economy.
Mr. Adekogbe who described BOI as one of the oldest and the most successful development financial institution with the goal of transforming the industrial sector would provide financial support to revive industries that have gone moribund in Kwara state, and will serve as the blood bank for as many enterprise that are being supported by good work environment and government policies.
He however pleaded with the commissioner, that the state government should help recover outstanding loans from entrepreneurs, and make policies towards that to enable or enterprise enjoy the benefits as well.
While receiving his guests, the commissioner noted that it is not enough to build the economy but also to sustain it, saying that the bank of industry and the corporate affairs commission are critical stakeholders in achieving this goal.
Agbaje further explained that the goal of the ministry of enterprise is to engage the people of Kwara positively affirming that the ministry is ready to partner with them and the state government will key into the right policies possible to ensure an enterprising Kwara.
The commissioner finally implored the both organizations to continue to support the ministry, reiterating that the management team of the ministry will continue to meet with them subsequently to evaluate their plans and also that the government will improve on policies that will help foster private enterprise and also sensitize the business owner on the reason to maintain a positive credit record.
