COVID-19: More Wards Receive Palliative Items In Kwara Central

Kwara State COVID-19 Palliative Committee has revealed plans to fasttrack distribution of  Food and other relief items in Kwara North and Central Senatorial District.

A member of the committee, Mallam Lawal Olorungbebe disclosed this on Tuesday during a live radio programme in Ilorin, the state capital.

Mallam Olorungbebe said COVID-19 Palliative committee headed by Emir of Shonga is engaging Local government committees from the two zones to ensure smooth and speedy distribution of Palliative items to the people.

Meanwhile, Olohungbebe alongside Dr Saulat Abdulbakr sensitized the people in Ogiri and Magaji Ngeri wards about Coronavirus and the need to improve personal hygiene to prevent the spread. They however emphasized that the relief items are meant for the less privileged, people with disabilities, artisans, widow and aged. The Palliative items include bags of rice (10Kg), Semovita, Vegetable Oil, Garri, Tomato paste, Sugar and Salt.

He further revealed that distribution has been completed in Asa local government while the process is still ongoing in Ilorin West which is the largest council.

Ogidi, Magaji Ngeri, Oju Ekun/Sarumi, Oke-erin, Ubanfawaki and Adewole wards have received as at this evening. Other wards in Ilorin will be covered tomorrow.
