Governor AbdulRazaq’s aide on Community Intervention begins visit to media houses on Monday
The Senior Special Assistant to Kwara State Governor on Community Intervention, Kayode Oyin-Zubair will kick-start interaction with media practitioners in the State on Monday 22nd June 2020.
Kayode Oyin-Zubair, in a statement issued in Ilorin on Sunday said, the visit is an important one which is aimed among other things to appreciate media practitioners through their various outlets for the support given to the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in the last one year.
According to the statement, the government will need a better synergy with the media practitioners in the State to reach the people at the grassroots.
“Undoubtedly, the last one year has been very eventful with the Governor bringing various innovations into governance which have spurred different reactions. We appreciate media practitioners in State for sticking to professionalism and best practices in the discharge of their duties.
“However, we will continue to appeal to members of the Fourth realm of the Estate to help stem the spread of half truth and outright falsehood by cross-checking before going to press.
“I will be using this opportunity to request from the management of our media houses in Kwara State, to start with, to give spotlight to community news and more airtime in the case of broadcasting houses. The grassroots remain largely uncovered inspite of its huge contribution through agriculture, tourism, mining and others to the growth of our economy.
“Our communities have never had so good in the State until the advent of this administration as led by a visionary leader and trail blazer. The commitment of His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to to lifting the living conditions of our rural dwellers is unparalleled.”
The statement added that, Oyin-Zubair has set for himself an agenda to cover all areas of socio-economic development of the rural communities.
“We have an agenda code-named ‘3Ps of Community Intervention i.e People, Place and Prosperity. Our interventions shall continue to revolve around the people, where they stay, in an effort to bring about a better living condition for them. We are set for the job and the Governor is keen on the rapid development of our communities”, he emphasized.
The media visit will start on Monday with an interaction with the management staff of Albarka fm Ganmo in Ifelodun local government area of the State.
