Samari Abdullahi now Kwara APC chair
The leadership crisis rocking Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) reached a halt on Monday as the National Secretariat of the ruling party took a position.
Sources close to the party’s national secretariat hinted that, Honourable Bashir Bolarinwa who had been in acting capacity for close three years was relieved of his office.
The party has therefore asked the Deputy Chairman of the party, Alhaji Abdullahi Samari to take over from him.
Samari was issued an appointment letter and signed by the National Secretary of the party. According to sources he was administered an oath of office in Abuja early this week.
However, the National Secretariat of the party was said to have agreed to settle the lingering Kwara crisis once and for all ahead of the membership registration coming later in the month. Efforts to reach either parties were not successful but another source reported that a delegation from Ilorin is billed to meet with the Chief of Staff to the President this week on this matter.
