Two years of Gov AbdulRazaq is impactful in Moro than 16 years of the previous administrations – Stakeholders
The people of Moro, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State said two administrations of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq have been more beneficial and impactful to the Council than the 16 years of previous administrations.
The people of Moro spoke yesterday at Bode-Saadu, the headquarters of the Council at a political meeting and rally organized in celebration of the achievements of Governor AbdulRazaq’s two years in office, organized by Moro AA Unity Forum.
The Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Mr. Kayode Alabi who was represented at the event by Comrade Musbau Esinrogunjo urged the people of the State to continue to support the Governor so that he could take the State to the next level of development.
He described the administration of Governor AbdulRazaq as the people’s Government, which has changed the narrative of governance in the State.
He said that the present administration has positively touched every aspect of human endeavors through infrastructural development.
The Jagunmolu of Shao, Chief Wole Oke, said the projects which cut across the 16 Local Governments covering road, health, schools, and water supply are not just heartwarming, they are enormous and gladden the soul.
Chief Wole Oke mentioned grading of Alapa to Arobadi road, Maigida/Banni road rehabilitation, construction of Shao township road, Jebba Waterworks project, comprehensive renovation of Basic Healthcare Centre in Shao, recruitment of 259 indigenes of Moro in SUBEB and TESCOM exercises, as some of the achievements of the Governor in the Council.
“From the above list of projects already executed in Moro LGA by AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration, one can say with a large measure of confidence that the people of Moro have benefitted in two years more than what came to them in 16 years of the past era. This assertion is without any prejudice. There are facts on the ground that support it”.
Also speaking, the Deputy House Leader in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon John Olarewaju described AbdulRazaq as an amiable and performing Governor.
“This rally is organized to identify with two years of the best Governor we have in Kwara State. This is a performing Governor and we want him to continue for a Second Term, if he so wishes.
The Chairman of Organizing Committee, Hon Abdulmumin Sidiq Katibi, said the program was to celebrate the achievements of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in the last two years, particularly in Moro Local Government.
Hon Katibi said Moro people have never had it so good before the administration of Governor AbdulRazaq.
He said Governor AbdulRazaq has changed the narrative of the total neglect experienced by the people of the Local Government Council from the previous administration in the last two years.
Reacting to agitation in some quarters that Governorship be zoned to Kwara North, he said “the people of Kwara North wanting to zone Governor in 2023 to Kwara North, is their right.
It is also the right of the people who are enjoying the dividends of democracy under a Government to seek for the reelection of that Government. They have labored so hard before but what has been achieved in the last 2 years, we did not witness it in the last 16 years that preceded this two years and we challenge anybody to come and controvert that as far as Moro Local Government is concerned”.
“Now that somebody is interested in our people, for us in Moro, we are expecting more and more dividends of democracy in the next two years. And if Governor fulfills the promises and he continues to do well, we will give him more”.
