KWACCIMA elects new Executives at 51st AGM
The Kwara Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KWACCIMA), at the 51st Annual General Meeting of the Chamber held on Tuesday, 8th June, 2021 elected Mr. Ayodimeji Olalekan Fatai, FCA, FCTI, MNIM, as the 10th President of the Chamber.
The newly elected President Mr. Olalekan Fatai Ayodimeji in his acceptance speech, appreciated the past Executives for the roles they played in advancing the objectives of the chamber.
He said, “the task facing our chamber is enormous especially at this time of dwindling National economy and high insecurity.
His major driven force for the chamber will be 3Cs philosophy. Connect, Capacitate & to Champion.
He appreciated and commended the efforts of the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq at promoting entrepreneurship and for taking the initiative on scaling up the State on the ladder of ease of doing businesses. He also, enjoined the State Government to hasten the process.
He advised the Government to involve key stakeholders in the planning and execution of policies involving the business community. “As the voice of Business in the State, we are ready and prepared to partner the State Government in all areas that impact businesses in the State”, he said.
Other Executive Officers elected were Barr. (Mrs) Oluronke Adeyemi as the 1st Deputy President;
Engr Abu Salami who defeated his co-contestants with 34 votes to emerged as the 2nd Deputy President;
Mr. Olugbenga Odetola (Vice President Commerce;
Mr. Agboola Victor Kolade (Vice President Industry);
Mr Olugbenga Adebowale Ajala (Vice President Mines); Dr. Sambo Hyelni Yoksa (Vice President Agriculture);
Mr Abdullahi Taiwo (Vice President Finance & Professional Practice);
Mrs Toki Rebbeca Modupe (Vice President Cooperatives and Informal Sector);
Alhaja Dr Asiat Ayinke Saka (Treasurer);
Barr Abiodun Dada (Legal Adviser); and
Mrs Adigun-Oladotun Madinat as the Public Relations Officer of the Chamber.
The newly elected Executive Officers will take mantle of leadership of the KWACCIMA for the next two years.
