Youths Mobbed Patigi APC Stakeholders
There was pandemonium today in Patigi town, the headquarters of Patigi local government where APC Stakeholders of Patigi were mobbed by the youth of the party.
An anonymous report revealed that the Youths were angry that the stakeholders have been taking vital decisions without recourse nor consultation to the home based party men and women. The report further claims that these stakeholders who mostly resides in ilorin have severally been warned to halt taking decisions without consulting others at home.
It was alleged that all appointments that have come to Patigi local government have all been shared to their cronies and relatives. One of such loopsided appointments by the stakeholders, it was learnt, was given to a brother of one of them immediately he joined APC leaving those that laboured for the party.
Crisis started looming when information got home that the Stakeholders have held prior meetings in ilorin and have finalized names of people (out of which there were defectors’ names) that would man various positions from wards, local government as well as state in the forthcoming APC Congresses as against the popular demands of the party men and women at home to allow the current status quo to remain.
It was alleged that, in a bid to force their list on the people and assert their authority, the Stakeholders organized to announce the list at a meeting in cultural center, Patigi. The plan was said to be, to read out the names in order to have a smooth sail which was why there was no any kind of sitting arrangements. But the plans were disrupted by the youths.
In a short video of the report, one of the leader of the stakeholders, Mr Benjamin Yissa, in his Black Toyota Jeep was seen being mobbed by the youths after the man had been whisked into the Jeep.
There were chants in local dialects disowning the Stakeholders. Other APC stakeholders fled the scene in a rush for safety.
